If you think that can say or do anything when you're online, you're WRONG! All your details can be tracked from the moment you log on!

File sharing on the internet can be illegal. If you download stuff from the internet that is copyrighted, then you could get yourself into trouble! Even if you copy one of your favourite pop group's CDs onto your computer, for example, then burn your own CD then technically you're breaking copyright!

However if you've made your own music like I do, and want to share it with your friends then that's ok, as long as they don't pass it onto anybody else without your permission!

If you use P2P (peer-2-peer) services, such as Limewire for example, you could also be leaving your computer open to nasty viruses or hackers who could access all your private stuff! You may also find people send you loads of junk or spam through mail or pop-ups. This could have been through the spyware that was secretly installed on your computer when you downloaded p2p software programmes from the internet.

Spyware enables other internet users to see and record all the stuff you do on the internet and even every key you press on your keyboard! It has even been known for a hacker to control somebody else's whole computer, right down to the movement of the mouse as soon as they log on! Argh!
